My 1st ever blog entry

I had been thinking about this for some time. I like writing, I write bits & pieces for work but as I have gotten older I have thought more and more about writing for my own pleasure. The obvious question, what to write about?

Well.. not sure why I hadn't thought of it before but to actually use a blog to document past thoughts & experiences as well as current ones, I dont know. But, I think its time. It could be good for my soul as I seem to be embarking on somewhat of a midlife crisis at the moment.

So.. who am I? And what I am I going to write about? Well.. 1st things first.. I am a 39 (soon to be 40) year old man, I have a girlfriend, I have children. We have lived together for 17 years, but I have just moved in to a friends house, whilst still living with my girlfriend (This will be explained later).

I work for a computer company with a lot of responsibility, and my job means I get to travel a lot which is great, but can be very lonely at times too. The path to this place that is my life has taken a few detours at times, some good, some bad many of which I intend to recount on here. Things like..

1. I am a transvestite.. that isn't easy when you are a kid growing up, and I would say it was harder then pre-internet.
2. In my teens I busked with 3 Algerian illegal immigrants in Paris on the steps of sacre-coeur
3. I was first arrested at the age of 17
4. I have experimented with most drugs
5. I love writing music, I'm not brilliant, in fact I am not even that good... I just enjoy it
6. I used to work for a psychpathic, homosexual, cocaine addict who ended up being murdered
7. After hiding my transvestism from my Mum, Dad & Brother for over 30 years I find out my brother is a Transvestite prostitute
8. In 1992, still in my teens, I travelled to Algeria weeks after the civil war had started
9. I was once hypnotised on a LSD trip, which resulted in a traumatic experience.
10. One of my best friends died from an heroin overdose aged 22
11. I rarely speak to any of my family
12. I have fallen in love 3 times

I am sure there will be more to come, but as topics to write about and share these experiences and thoughts will, I hope, put an additional perspective on what makes me who I am today.

If by chance someone has actually seen this and reads it, thank you for taking the time to do so, your thoughts are always welcome.
